On Saturday, July 20th, a team from South Church hit the streets surrounding the church, going door-to-door with a simple and heartfelt invitation—a free community meal on Tuesday, July 22nd.

That Tuesday evening, the church was full of activity and warmth as volunteers served over 190 meals. Some meals were enjoyed at the church, others delivered to homes, and many were packed to-go for neighbors and families nearby. It was more than just a meal, it was a moment to connect, encourage, and show the love of Christ in a practical way.

A special thank you to Darrell and Sheena Mayes, and Mark and Tina Freeman, for leading this outreach effort. And to every volunteer who cooked, delivered, served, cleaned, and prayed—your service made a difference.

Please join us in continuing to pray for every person and family we were able to serve.

Mark your calendar for our next community meal: Tuesday, August 26

Let’s keep showing up and showing love.
