THE DNA OF SOUTH CHURCH
What is DNA? It is defined as "the fundamental and distinctive characteristics or qualities of someone or something, especially when regarded as unchangeable."
The goal of our church family is focused on connections. To us, connections are vital. We want all that we do at South to connect people to God and other people. This sounds simple, but o live it out is to see the transformation of lives. Connecting with Jesus in a deepening love and relationship, will lead us to connect with others in the same way. We believe these connections are built on a study of the Bible, prayer, worship and service. While these can be individual activities that connect us to Jesus, we believe they are also the basis for creating relationships with other people. We are better together because we were created in Christ Jesus to live in community.
4 AREAS WE WANT OUR DNA TO THRIVE
1. Strong Teaching
2. Growing and Deepening Relationships
3. Genuine Worship
4. Active Service
WHAT ABOUT MY RESPONSIBILITIES?
That is a question each church must work hard to define. We believe the local church is the visible representation of our Heavenly Father to the world around us. As such, we believe that each person will live out their giftedness for the furtherance of the church, within the setting of a community of believers.
